Krishna Iyer Vs WB Governor Vs Sitaram Yechury
Respected Krishna Iyer, former Supreme Court Judge had written a open letter through The Hindu, to the West Bengal Governor asking what was his action to ascertain the law and order situation in Nandigram. Also he was concerned about the human rights violation in the Village. The next day the WB Governor replied in the same Newspaper stating that it is not pleasing that the letter written to him through media. Since the former SC Judge wrote in the media he was forced to write in the same way. After the recent violence in Nandigram the WB Governor had criticized the WB Government in Public for the second time. Sitaram Yechury the Politburo Member of CPI(M) told media that it is wrong that the Governor is Publicly criticizing the functioning of the state government. Here, Krishna Iyer as a Public man addressed his concerns in open letter, though the governor need not reply such letters, he addressed that letter because the issues were raised by respected person who is still fighting for humanity, also the issues were made public the governor was under pressure to reply. Though The Governor should not criticize the government in Public, when the situation is out of control the governor raised his inability in the public. If the governor is not able to take any action he should resign. But why Sitaram Yechury is crying in the Public on the governors concern. If the same happened in some other state he would have demanded for the resignation of the governor, but he will not do this here because this will lead to the accusation of the Communist government in the state. So this shows that the comrade is biased, they were not ready to take any step to control the violence, instead they cry to save the unable government. Meanwhile they keep paralyzing the government on the Nuclear deal issue, why Karat remains silent spectator when innocent girls were raped and killed in Nandigram. Ultimately whoever is running the political party is running power and not for people.
